Wild Turkey Diamond Anniversary is a commemorative bottling of select bourbon whisky that celebrates the 60 year tenure and long-lasting relationship of Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and Wild Turkey. Along with his son and fellow Master Distiller Eddie Russell, Russell Sr. hand-selected several 13-16 year old barrels which were then expertly blended and bottled at 91 proof. Composed of a mash bill containing 75% corn, 13% rye, and 12% malted barley, The Diamond Anniversary is classified as NAS whiskey and was originally released in August 2014. On the nose are thick trails of warm alcohol, vintage wood, and smoky caramel over layers of vanilla. The palate is dry with touches of smoked tobacco, leather, and spice balanced with more notes of vanilla.
