Established nearly 3 centuries ago in 1724, Remy Martin is a brand of ultra-premium French cognac from the region of Cognac, France. Martin is one of four premier cognac houses in the world, referred to as ‘the big four’, alongside internationally renowned brands Martell, Hennessy, and Courvoisier. Established by Paul-Emile Remy Martin – a vintner by trade – the brand remained in the family until 1927 when Andre Renaud, a partner in E. Remy Martin & Co, took the reins. Remy Martin cognac is created from a blend of Eaux-de-vie derived from Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne crus, or high-quality vineyards.
