THE BALVENIE
A Day of Dark Barley 26 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml
The third release in the beloved The Balvenie Stories series, A Day of Dark Barley 26 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a taste back in time to a day in 1992 when Balvenie Distillery mashman Brian Webster along with maltman Robbie Gormley attended the delivery of dark barley – and initiating the start of a long and lauded experiment. Uncommon in the whisky world, dark barley is typically used in the brewing of beer, or more specifically, stout. The Balvenie A Day of Dark Barley 26 year old Single Malt is aged for a minimum of 26 years in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and bottled at 47.8% ABV.
