Despite the higher than average ABV, the nose and palate deliver smooth, rich notes, due to the whisky spending time in a red wine cask before being bottled. As the name suggests, this is a single malt bottling Small Batch means a small assembly of whiskeys from a small number of older Bourbon casks of at least 17 carefully selected. Kirin Single Malt 17 years old Small Batch Whisky is made from malted barley, distilled and aged at Fuji Gotemba Distillery located at the foot of Mount Fuji. Very few single malt is bottled as such by Kirin the owner of the distillery.
