Based in the iconic town of Tequila in Jalisco, Mexico, Fortaleza, otherwise known as Los Abuelos outside the US, has become a leader in providing the highest quality tequila. Created using traditional processing established in Mexico over 125 years ago, Fortaleza Reposado Tequila is derived from 100% blue agave that is carefully hand-harvested after maturing for at least 8 years. The fruits are then roasted in brick ovens for 3 days and macerated using a 2-ton tahona wheel made of volcanic rock. The resulting mash is fermented in open-air wooden tanks for 3.5 days.
